American Mine Services, Inc. (AMS) is a Denver based contract mining and construction company. Founded in 1967, AMS has served the mining and civil construction industries in the evaluation, design and construction of surface and underground mines, rock excavations and civil tunnels. Operations and engineering activities have extended throughout the United States, Canada, Bolivia and Mexico. Foreign experience includes projects in Latin America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia. Operations are centered at the company-owned complex located on 16½ acres of land in Jefferson County near Golden, Colorado. This complex houses corporate management and staff, a four-bay fabrication and repair shop and parts/supply warehouse. The company-owned fleet of equipment is housed at this facility when not in use.
