The Elephant Walk
Restaurant
Info
The Elephant Walk serves Cambodian and French cuisine. The Cambodian menu consists of both traditional dishes ranging from everyday street food to aristocratic and royal delicacies, as well as original dishes created by Cambodian Executive Chefs Nadsa and Longteine De Monteiro using traditional Cambodian ingredients and cooking techniques. The French menus consist of original dishes created primarily by Nadsa. It bears mentioning that The Elephant Walk's French and Cambodian concept is an authentic reflection of the De Monteiros lives and experiences. They were born and raised under the French Protectorate, educated in the French language, and grew up eating both French and Cambodian cuisines. They enjoyed each cuisine, in their homes as in their restaurants, in its pure, traditional form and not fused with the other. The Elephant Walk was when it opened in 1991 and remains today the only Cambodian restaurant in Greater Boston. In 2001 The Elephant Walk was voted "Best Vegetarian" by both the editors and the readers of CitySearch.com. While most fine dining restaurants offer a single vegetarian entree, we have always offered a large selection of vegetarian and/or vegan menu items. In addition, our wine lists at all of our locations have won numerous awards from Wine Spectator magazine.
