Carol's Design House was founded in 1977 in Boise, Idaho by Carol Swanby. Purchased in 1990 and owned currently by Joan Adkins, Carol's has long been a leader in the interior design community. While specializing in residential interior design, Carol's has also completed many professional offices and retail locations. Carol's Design House is the largest residential interior design firm in the Pacific Northwest. This size gives us an unmatched buying power for our clients. We have a retail location which gives us preferential buying opportunities with manufacturers that is more competitive than design center pricing. We directly purchase many of our construction materials, eliminating "middle men" up-charges. The purchasing power of our organization gives our clients an unbeatable combination of experience and value. Although founded in Idaho, our work has expanded in the last decade to many states, assisting our clients in projects with diverse scope. While many interior designers do not choose to tackle the complexity of construction design and implementation, it has become an increasingly larger percentage of the design work of Carol's Design House.
