Southern Skin Divers Supply now offers a great opportunity for youths aged 12 and older. Our Scuba Camp program includes:1. One month of twice weekly classes at our scuba school. In addition to a 50 foot long and 14 foot deep indoor heated pool, our facility includes a classroom with all the best training aids such as video and slide presentations. Our pool is 5 feet deeper than most pools, which allows the students to experience more depth and become better divers by helping them to understand proper buoyancy control. Rather than chlorine, our pool uses bromine so eyes won't burn and equipment won't become bleached. The Scuba School was designed and built just for training scuba classes, and our company is the oldest in the country. We have trained over 10,000 divers since we were started by Bill Tant in 1953, and we now have the finest training facility in Alabama. The instructors and instructor trainers are also the owners of the Scuba School and have a total of over 100 years experience as divers with the finest safety record in the U.S. 2. Four days of diving and classes in Central Florida. We will complete our checkout dives in some of the clear water springs near the Suwannee River. This clear water and lack of current provides a safe location for checkouts and allows everyone the opportunity to get accustomed to the water. 3. We will also have additional classes in Florida instructing students on methods of finding fossils, relics and gold prospecting. New divers will be able to learn how to use underwater metal detectors to search for metal relics, and our classes on fossils will teach them fossil-finding techniques and how to identify fossils. 4. All food and lodging will be included at our Suwannee River headquarters. After completing the Scuba Camp program, the new divers will be certified divers able to go on dive boats and trips with their worldwide accepted SCUBA certification card. We also encourage parents to participate in Scuba Camp. This is a great opportunity for parents to spend time with their kids learning diving together and to enjoy a new hobby that will add fun and adventure to their lives.
