In 1997, KIVEX.com added the capability to deliver live audio and video content streams via the Internet. KIVEX.com operates a nationwide high-speed private data network. Markets currently served include: Atlanta, Baltimore, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Philadelphia, Raleigh, Richmond, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle and Washington DC. Customers access the network using dedicated modem lines, ISDN, Asymmetrical-DSL, Frame Relay and Point-to-Point leased line circuits. KIVEX.com contracts with UUnet Technologies, Inc. and GTE Internetworking to provide high-speed interconnects to all major Internet Service Providers at speeds up to 45 Megabits per second (T3). The Network Operations Center (NOC) located at corporate headquarters in Bethesda, Maryland provides 24 hour by 7 day a week active monitoring of all customer connections. Customer service and support functions are staffed during business hours and provide high-quality support services to the growing number of KIVEX.com customers and resellers.
