Sheri Stoltenberg is the founder and CEO of Stoltenberg Consulting, Inc., a Women Business Enterprise-certified company that helps health systems and hospitals implement, manage and utilize information and business systems. Sheri has 25 years of professional experience in the health care information technology field. Before establishing Stoltenberg Consulting in 1995, Sheri returned to the clinical environment as the first woman on the management team of one of Pittsburgh's largest hospitals. As Director of Ancillary Systems, Sheri was responsible for vendor selection, contract negotiation, budgeting, personnel management and systems implementation for the hospital's cardiology, laboratory, pharmacy and radiology support systems, among others. While many of the company's competitors did not survive the post-Y2K industry fallout, Stoltenberg Consulting continues to thrive. Under Sheri's leadership, the company boasts a 98 percent client retention rate, the result of a company-wide commitment to add value and provide quality service in a manner that exceeds clients' expectations. Sheri is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh Katz Graduate School of Business' Entrepreneurial Excellence program. She holds a bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in business administration from Ohio Northern University. As a member of the College of health care Information Management Executives (CHIME), health care Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS), the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) and Women Presidents Organization (WPO), Sheri is well versed in issues facing today's health care CIOs. A mentor and community leader, Sheri is active in a number of Pittsburgh organizations, including the Pittsburgh Technology Council and the CEO Forum.
