The International Listening Association (ILA) is a professional organization whose members are dedicated to learning more about the impact listening has on all human activity. Our membership includes professionals from such diverse areas as education, business, health care, government, and law. Consequently, our diversity gives us opportunities to explore the rich and complex nature of listening from a wide range of perspectives. We meet at annual conventions and regional conferences across the country and in other countries to share our expertise, to support listening research efforts, and to promote the practice and teaching of effective listening. Established in 1998, the International Listening Association - Convention Paper Resource Center (ILA - CPRC) is an information system and reproduction service to give users access to ILA convention papers. The ILA - CPRC service also collects the ILA papers, posts a database index of the papers and ordering information (in hard copy and on the Internet's ILA Website), makes papers accessible to buyers, and processes the orders.
