Biocorp , Inc.
Info
Biocorp® is the exclusive supplier in the US for a line of cutlery (fork, knife, spoon, sample spoon and spork) that is heat resistant and does not have after tastes or corn allergy concerns. It is a molded cellulose fiber/limestone product that does not contain any plastic resin, is DIN certified and biodegrades in active compost systems. It is white in color, yet distinct in appearance. The cutlery is made from Biograde 300A which is a chemical compound of biopolymers (such as starch and proteins), anorganic filling agents (primarily limestone for strength) and biologically recyclable additive agents (such as cellulose). The combination of these properties represents a perfect compromise between the opposing demands of effective biodegradability on the one hand and food resistance and high thermal stability (heat resistance) on the other hand. Biograde 300A consists of over 60% of renewable resources, is compostable according to DIN EN 13432 and is certified for food approval. Biocorp biodegradable plastic film products (such as leaf & yard bags and organic waste collection container liners) are specifically designed to fully mineralize under conditions consistent with all composting systems. Biocorp film products are successfully processed in numerous live composting facilities, from low-tech windrows to advanced technology in-vessel and in-channel composting systems. The patented polymerized material used to make Biocorp film products is an extrusion ready resin, consisting of a blend of recycled polyethylene (both pre and post consumer) and virgin Polyolefins (by-products of the petroleum industry), combined with a mix of all natural mineral based pro-oxidants. Biocorp film has all of the same mechanical properties and benefits of regular plastic film products, combining superior physical characteristics, wet strength and tear resistance, with reasonable costs. Biocorp® has an exciting line of food service ware. We continue to carry paper cups and plates coated with biodegradable resin, with enhanced printing options. Another line is the heavy-duty fiber ware (plates, trays, bowls, cups, lunch boxes and compartment trays) made from sugar cane. Sugar cane is an annually renewable feedstock favored over tree-based products. When sugar is harvested, the stalk remains and it is this refuse that is used in the production of our fiber products along with palm fiber refuse. our very popular line of clear biodegradable cups/lids, clams and deli containers made from PLA (polylactic acid) which resembles the look of any clear plastic cup. The cups are very popular for serving alcoholic beverages and other cold beverages for special events. Whatever your needs may be,now or in the future,we will provide you with the solutions you are looking for today and the product to balance your current environment or sustain future generations to come.
