Electronics is the science of manipulating electric energy (through electrical circuits and electronics components- diodes, transistors, vacuum tubes, integrated circuits, semiconductor devices) mainly through electrons. Electronics is then utilized within information processing and signal processing as well as computing and telecommunications. Branches include digital electronics, analogue electronics, microelectronics, circuit design electronics, optoelectronics, and embedded systems electronics as well as the study of electronic engineering which utilizes the electronics technology. Types include power electronics, marine electronics and robotics.
