Loman Brown, Inc. is an industrial food ingredient brokerage company, selling primarily to food manufacturers. Most products are packed in bulk containers (pails, cartons, drums, totes). A general list of products handled follows. Special emphasis is given to frozen fruit products, frozen vegetables, frozen herbs, and shelled nuts. The company was founded by Loman D. Brown January, 1979. Loman has a unique background to support the activities of interrelations between the various departments necessary in this business. This background includes a B.S. in Chemistry and Biology. Previous work includes a cook in the U.S. Army, synthetic organic chemist at Bristol-Myers, product development manager and industrial sales manager for the J.M. Smucker Company. We have customers to include these categories: Bakeries (Bagel, muffins, pies, cakes, cookies, specialty bread) Preserves & jellies, ice cream toppings, ice cream, frozen yogurt preps, salsas, sauces, juices, beverages, salads, baby foods, newtons, snacks, cheeses, nut roasters, and rebaggers. General market area includes Ohio and adjoining states. Frozen fruit products are sold on a national level. A branch sales office is located in Southern Ohio.
