Martin-Lauer Associates, a Democratic political fundraising and consulting firm, was founded in 1992 by Colleen Martin-Lauer. The year of its founding, Martin-Lauer Associates was the lead fundraiser for two of the top raising Congressional campaign in the country, Representative Albert R. Wynn (MD-4) and Thomas Hattery (MD-6), in addition to raising over 2 million dollars for the Maryland Choice Campaign, Question 6. In the 1994 and 1996 campaign cycles, Martin-Lauer Associates enacted several successful fundraising programs in raising across the country including the most expensive House race in 1994, Congressman Ken Bentsen (TX-25) and the hotly contested race to fill Congressman Kweisi Mfume's vacated seat by Congressman Elijah Cummings (MD-7).
