San Juan Diego is a school that was created in the spirit of the Cristo Rey Network and one of many "schools that work." Cristo Rey Jesuit High School in Chicago, Illinois pioneered the Corporate Internship Program model in 1996 in order to make private education affordable to families who might not otherwise have access to traditional private schools. In addition to Chicago, other network schools exist in Portland, Oregon; Los Angeles; and Denver.
