Planet Cancer was founded in 2000 by Heidi Adams, who was diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer at age 26 and personally experienced the void in services and support for patients at that age. As a result, Adams created Planet Cancer to give young adults who are dealing with cancer a place to come and build relationships.
