Amicus is a hosted web, archive and messaging services company. We deliver and support superior corporate email, regulatory compliance, and business collaboration tools, as well as custom applications for the financial services industry. As corporate email and regulatory compliance experts, we also provide custom business consulting. Back when the web was young (circa 1995), Amicus' parent Amicus Communications, L.P. (ACLP, founded in November 1993 by Mr. Rick Lane) sparked the delivery and usage of simple content-managed intranets by academic and financial services affinity groups, allowing them to communicate effectively and privately via the web. In July 1996, the Amicus Network Division of Amicus Communications, L.P. (ACLP) was spun off and incorporated under Texas law as Amicus Networks, Inc. with a mandate to focus on IT solutions for the financial services industry. As the web and our expertise matured, Amicus responded to client needs by innovating process-automating software tools that help financial services firms get effectively compliant with governing regulations (SEC, NASD, etc.).
