It is a pleasure to introduce you to MEDICAL PARAMETERS and our staff. In August of 1987, our clinical research group was formed out of a network of primary care offices in the Augusta area. Presently the medical center system consists of four offices, five physicians, two physician assistants, and approximately 80,000 active medical records. Over the years, our clinical research has taken us to the areas of family practice, dermatology, internal medicine, pediatrics, and allergy/immunology. Our initial efforts some fifteen years ago began with a pivotal hypertension study involving 300 patients. Since that time, a variety of studies have passed through our portals. In recent years we have been concentrating on respiratory and dermatology studies which we currently have three each underway. Several long term hypertension studies also continue. Medical Parameters employs experienced Clinical Research Coordinators as well as a Clinical Research Administrator. As part of our service we maintain a Clinical Trial database which enables easy monitoring of all ongoing studies from which we obtain regular progress reports and scheduling. Our employees have received GCP and HAZMAT training. The organization is HIPAA compliant and is proud of its ethical approach to Clinical Research.
