Out Of Hand Theater was founded in 2001 to create work by, for and about the current generation of younger adults. We make live theater accessible and exciting by involving the audience in a new way in each show, as well as through our extreme physical style. We work to make theater as EVENTS, giving the audience a stake in the show, like in a wedding, sporting event or funeral. We have been featured in American Theater Magazine as one of the hottest companies in the country, in Variety for our innovation in theater and Theatre Forum for creating bold new American Theatre. Out Of Hand is based in Atlanta, GA where we regularly create original work as a team. We are committed to developing new audiences by producing substantive work which engages the smart, savvy and often elusive 18 to 35-year-old set. Older people like our shows,too. I mean you are still 25 at heart. With ensemble-created shows like 30 Below and HELP! and classics like Miss Julie and Indiscretions, Out Of Hand is putting a bold stamp on new American theater.
