IntelliWave, a local wireless internet service provider (WISP) was founded in September of 2002 in Athens, Ohio by a group of local business people. The foundation of our business model has been to provide a competitively priced, broadband Internet solution to underserved areas of Athens County. This solution is delivered utilizing a fixed wireless network ring that IntelliWave has engineered and installed around the county. Our network utilizes multiple wireless protocols and frequencies, but our primary means of delivery is a proprietary 900MHz Point to Multi-Point system. From this network ring we supply turn-key, last mile, wireless broadband service to business and residences throughout Athens County.
