Nova began as a sole proprietorship founded by Grace L. Keenan, MD in 1988, in the Countryside development in Sterling, VA. Patients' needs for less expensive and more efficient alternatives to the ER for non-life threatening illnesses along with rapid growth necessitated the establishment of Nova Urgent Care in 1991. Since that time Nova Urgent Care has grown to include four locations in Northern Virginia. In a time when medical services seem impersonal, Nova offers a new direction in urgent medical care for individuals and families in addition to a comprehensive selection of occupational medicine services for the injured worker and local employer. Our services include treatment of acute illnesses such as sinus or ear infections, minor injuries, school, employment and sports physicals, laceration repair, flu shots and vaccinations. In addition, our occupational medical services, include, worker's compensation evaluations, work related and Medical Review Officer (MRO) services, and pre placement physical examinations.
