Info
LM&O Advertising was formed in October 1995 as a result of a management acquisition of the Washington Office of Bozell Worldwide, Inc., then one of the country's top agencies. Our founders, Doug Laughin, Dave Marinaccio and Ron Owens, built their careers on Madison Avenue before pooling their institutional knowledge to create a micro version of these big firms in Washington, DC. Utilizing the same creative strategies and business systems that made these agencies so successful, they established LM&O, a now 55+ person shop that operates and provides the service and results of an advertising conglomerate. Who are some of LM&O's longest-term clients? While LM&O was founded in 1995, its principals had held the Army National Guard account for three years prior and the agency continues to be the Guard's agency-of-record today. Closest to the Guard in longevity is the Washington Metropolitan Area and Transportation Authority (WMATA). We have maintained their Metro trains and buses account since 1999. Is LM&O recognized by the American Association of Advertising? Yes, we are honored to have been nominated and accepted into the AAAA just three years into our existence. Of the several thousand agencies in business in America, only 6% meet the association's stringent professional standards of creative and technical skills, financial integrity and advertising achievement. What pro-bono work has LM&O done? We are very proud to be the agency of record for Big Brothers/Big Sisters of the National Capital Area. We offer our creative, media and production services free of charge to promote the organization's one-to-one volunteer mentoring program for underprivileged children.
