MCU was orginally established in 1941 as the Bruning Credit Union. Our membership was expanded in 1971 to include all nationwide employees of Addressograph-Multigraph and our name was changed to Graphics Employees Credit Union. On April 1, 1982 the credit union was rechartered by the state of Illinois and expanded its field of membership to serve the community of Rolling Meadows. We relocated to Rolling Meadows, and hence became MCU. We changed our charter once again in 1984 to service select employee groups (SEGs). Today, MCU is located in Arlington Heights and provides credit union benefits to over 300 companies throughout the Chicagoland (and their branches nationwide) and the surrounding community. With a staff of 56, MCU provides service Monday through Saturday to 22,000 members with an asset base of 70 million.
