Summit Consulting Group is a growing leader in the computer based testing industry with a particular focus on performance based testing. The Summit team is comprised of well-seasoned professional technology consultants providing invaluable software design, development, and implementation services in the computer-based testing and assessment arena. We have extensive experience in the professional licensure, IT, and education channels. A brief description of some recent engagements follows. Summit designed a complex yet easy to use item banking system for Thomson Prometric. The solution allows test authors to create very complex test structures and implement section and group level scoring and adaptive navigation rules. Summit aided in the complete redesign of the CBT delivery system for a major financial services organization. This project involved designing and building a new item banking/test authoring system and a custom scoring back end. Summit was engaged by a national, professional organization to create a completely new delivery mechanism for the organizations new CBT. This was a large project involving multiple stakeholders and governing agencies from fifty states. The end result was a project delivering over 400,000 pre test events yearly. Summit is currently engaged with a large educational institution to build a custom simulation engine for their school of nursing. This system will provide a mechanism for nurses to demonstrate their knowledge and skills in the assessment of a patient. It will also test their ability to manage multiple patients, their own tasks, and hold virtual conferences with other hospital representatives. Summit developed an Online Scoring solution for a professional certification client. The solution loads results from a major exam delivery provider, stores candidate results, and provides a secure web-based user interface that allows remote graders to score scenario based responses. Scores are then merged into the client's back end and certification portal.
