Info

Adaptive Materials, Inc (AMI) portable power products deliver on the promise of fuel cells to reduce carbon emissions, to run up to 10x longer than batteries, and to reduce disposal concerns associated with batteries. AMI develops 25 watt to 250 watt fuel cell systems to meet military and commercial portable power needs. AMI is the first fuel cell company to solve the fuel cell hydrogen conundrum by developing fuel cell products that produce electricity from readily available propane. Since its founding in 2000, Adaptive Materials has raised over $32 million through the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency and various other government agencies in order to solve the military's most pressing portable power problems. In 2006, AMI was awarded a $6.27 million loan through Michigan's 21st Century Jobs fund to commercialize flexible and secure grid-independent chargers for a growing list of consumer battery operated electronics including laptops, medical devices, and cordless tools. Most recently, Adaptive Materials announced that it plans to invest $2.8 million to relocate its quickly growing operations to a 500% larger facility in Pittsfield Township. Adaptive Materials has grown 400% in revenue and employees over the past four years and anticipates adding 100 new employees over the next five years. We will continue to grow with team members who are driven to delivery in an environment that embraces empowerment, innovation, and growth with a positive, passionate, urgent zeal.
