Alabama Electric Cooperative Inc. is a generation and transmission cooperative that provides wholesale electricity to its four Alabama member-municipalities, 12 Alabama distribution cooperative members, four Florida distribution cooperatives and one industrial member throughout south and central Alabama and northwest Florida. These 21 member-owners distribute energy to more than 800,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers, which includes more than 300,000 consumer accounts.
