Info

Fred is a third-generation Alaskan who grew up commercial fishing with his grandparents Dave & Jean Ring, who moved to Anchorage in 1953. They started their commercial fishing business on Point McKenzie as soon as they arrived in Alaska, because they found nowhere to buy fresh salmon at a decent price. Over the years they have developed a market of buyers that return to them every season to buy their salmon at hundreds of pounds at a time. Fred was raised around this business. He knows quality and sells quality at prices less than it would cost you to catch it yourself. Like most Alaskans, he holds and has had many jobs, from working for the Senate in Juneau to being Realtor at Prudential Jack White/Vista -- and of course commercial fishing since he was old enough to put on a life jacket. Getting your fish from Fred, you'll feel like you're back in small-town Alaska, where fish isn't something you get in the store; it's something you walk down to the dock on a summer morning, when the fog is still just giving way to the sun, and buying from your friends and neighbors, coming in off the water with the fish still jumping in the hatch.
