Alyeska Pipeline Service Company
Info
Alyeska Pipeline Service Company operates and maintains the 800-mile Trans Alaska Pipeline System. Formed in 1970 to design and build the pipeline, Alyeska Pipeline acts as agent for the five companies who own the trans-Alaska pipeline. Almost 900 employees work in Anchorage, Fairbanks, Valdez and field locations along the pipeline. The mission of Alyeska Pipeline is to move oil safely, reliably and efficiently. There are five key elements to our business. Safety: Protecting the people working on the Trans Alaska Pipeline System (TAPS) so that "nobody gets hurt". People: In order to be the best at what we do, people need to feel like they have the freedom to ask questions, contribute ideas, and discuss concerns with their supervisors. We need people with different ideas and different beliefs. This diversity makes us a better company. System Integrity: Supporting and operating the Pipe, Terminal and SERVS. It's about maintaining our system, meeting laws and regulations, environmental protection compliance, quality management, using the best technologies, and moving oil safely. Reputation: How every employee feels about Alyeska is how the world will gauge us. We want everyone to understand our business, to see what it takes to move oil safely and reliably. Efficiency: Asking if we are doing the job in the most efficient way possible. It also has to do with reliability and using technology to make our work easier.
