Coelho Winery is a small family-owned winery located in Amity, Oregon. Our vineyard was planted in 2001 with Pommard and Dijon clones of Pinot Noir. Each member of our family takes pride in caring for our vineyard and producing our wines. At Coelho Winery, we patiently wait for the grapes to ripen, then handpick them at their peak flavor. After harvest, while the grapes are fermenting and put into barrels, we wait for nature to age this vintage to an elegant Pinot Noir. As a result of that patience, we decided to name our first bottle Paciencia, which means patience in Portuguese. Our first vintage was bottled on August 2, 2005 and is available for purchase exclusively through our winery. Our winery is open for visitors year round and whenever our winemakers are available they offer guided tours themselves. We are passionate about what we do here at Coelho Winery and are always willing to take the time to talk about wine making with our customers.
