Located in metropolitan Washington, DC since the founding of the practice in 1983, Stephenson & Good is known for design excellence and client service. Robert W. Good, Brian J. Stephenson, and their professional staff represent comprehensive experience in the planning, design, and implementation of landscape architectural and site development projects. Projects have been published nationally and recognized with awards from professional and civic organizations for their contributions to our society and culture. As landscape architects, we are design collaborators. Our design style is one of response to the unique design challenge presented by each project. We respond not only to the physical and technical requirements of a project, but also to the opportunities to give human and social dimension to a project. We believe that landscapes are designed spaces in which our lives are presented and conducted, and that they must be physically pleasing, technically enduring, and socially relevant.
