Albany Community Action Partnership (ACAP) is the federally-designated Community Action Agency for the County of Albany, NY. Read about our Agency Mission and our Vision and Guiding Principles. ACAP is a non-profit 501(c)3 agency. Our agency offers several different services to assist Albany County residents with some fundamental needs. The warmth of a coat, foods for a meal, furniture to make their place feel more like a home - all very simple, basic needs - are all part of what ACAP does to help break the cycle of poverty and empower our communities within the County of Albany. Our many family and community programs for Albany County include:Head Start, Early Learning Center, Weatherization Assistance, Furniture Assistance, Family and Community Development, Home Energy Assistance Program, and several other programs, as well as networking, information and referrals to other agencies and organizations.
