AMA is an active museum, hosting gallery openings, receptions, and special events through out the year. Our Special Event Assistants provide a number of needed services that make these events successful, including pre-event mailings, event setup and decoration, and guest greeting and sign-in. Becoming a Special Events Assistant provides an excellent opportunity for networking as well as an opportunity to utilize your skills in a fun and exciting environment. Front Desk/Clerical Assistants: As an AMA Front Desk/Clerical Assistant you will be involved with the daily operations and functions of the museum. AMA Front Desk/Clerical Assistants gain real world experience in the operations of an accredited art museum while developing an appreciation of the arts and the vital role they play in building a stronger community. Becoming an AMA Front Desk/Clerical Assistant is a great opportunity for anyone interested in public relations and customer service. Being an AMA Volunteer requires that you maintain a professional and positive attitude and appearance as well as a respect for the galleries and our visitors.
