We are a California non-profit public benefit organization, incorporated and operated under the 501(c)(3) section as a charitable scientific and educational organization. As a 501(c)(3) organization, our overall objective is the advancement of human thought and improvement of human condition. This objective should first be met in our very workplace environment, and then in our relationships with customers, public, and the environment. The current focus of those activities is on the emerging area of microsystems technology and nanotechnology. ARI is a member organization of the Berkeley Microfabrication Laboratory Affiliates which provides its researchers access to full 4"- and 6"-wafer CMOS and microsystems fabrication capability, as well as a variety of testing capabilities. ARI Researchers collaborate with several Directors and students of the Berkeley Sensor and Actuator Center, researchers at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, Stanford University, University of Nevada and others.
