Info

Pediatric Rehab is a comprehensive, non-profit rehabilitation program for children with speech, physical, adaptive, or feeding needs. During the past five years, we've had the privilege of serving approximately 165 families each year, families whose children have developmental disabilities. These special needs may include cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, spina bifida, or cleft lip/palate. Other children enrolled in Pediatric Rehab exhibit speech/language delays, feeding disorders, syndromes, or academic disabilities. No matter what the need, Pediatric Rehab is now known as the group to call in Shelby or Chilton counties to serve families whose children have special needs. Our therapists specialize in pediatrics and have served children (ages birth-18) with a wide range of developmental needs. In addition to therapy provided in our clinics, Pediatric Rehab provides services for the State Early Intervention System, Children's Rehab Services, and local educational agencies. Pediatric Rehab began a program in 1999 providing services in Spanish to Hispanic children in the area. Have you seen a child take his first steps or say her first words? Did you think it was a miracle when your child lifted a spoon to feed himself or learned to tie her shoes? For many families, the achievement of these developmental milestones is a miracle and Pediatric Rehab is making it possible for children in Central Alabama.
