Office hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Bennett Houglum Agency is owned and operated by Wayne Lee and John Germolus. Together, they have more than 50 years of crop insurance experience. The agency is very active politically, working with agents and commodity groups, trying to improve the crop insurance program. Wayne Lee started with Federal Crop Insurance Corporation in 1979 as an adjuster. In 1982, he became a sales and adjustment advisement supervisor. In 1985, he became a partner at the Bennett Houglum Agency. He also continues to own and operate a farm in the area. John Germolus started with Federal Crop Insurance Corporation in 1983 as a loss adjustment contractor. In 1985, he became a partner in the Bennett Houglum Agency. He also continues to own and operate a farm in the area. Marisa Carlsrud joined the Bennett Houglum Agency in 2005 and is a licensed agent. She brings some experience working with farm-related programs and issues, as she was employed by the Farm Service Agency (Ada) in 2002, 2003 and 2005, for a combined 1-1/2 years.
