Description of Phoenix Clubhouse

Phoenix Clubhouse, established in 1998, is a community adult psychiatric rehabilitation service under the auspices of the Department of Psychiatry, Faculty of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong and the Queen Mary Hospital. Phoenix Clubhouse is the first Clubhouse that has been certified and recognized by the International Center for Clubhouse Development (ICCD) in providing world-class rehabilitation services to people with mental disorders in Hong Kong . The Clubhouse Model, originated in the United States, has more than a 50-year history of success. There are currently more than 370 clubhouses in 29 countries, but only about 150 are certified by ICCD. Phoenix Clubhouse is the first of its kind in Hong Kong and China.
