Kehillah offers a variety of minyanim (prayer groups), enabling students to deepen their spirituality and strengthen their synagogue skills. Kashrut (dietary law) is observed and Jewish holidays are integrated into the academic calendar. School activities and assignments are scheduled in accord with the observance of the Sabbath and other Jewish holidays. Kehillah nurtures an appreciation for our shared tradition and our historic love of learning, and fosters an appreciation of the covenantal bond that binds all Jews together across time and space. The creation of the modern State of Israel is one of the seminal events in Jewish history. Recognizing the significance of Israel and its national institutions, we instill in our students an attachment to Israel and its people and a sense of responsibility for their welfare. Kehillah is an inclusive community that is integrated into the larger community. We are responsible for one another and we endeavor to serve the breadth of the Jewish community, including families of diverse backgrounds and families with limited means. Kehillah builds community among our students and their families, our faculty and staff, our volunteers, and other Jewish organizations.
