George Ripplinger and Associates limits its practice to the representation of people in trials and appeals in the state and federal courts throughout Illinois and Missouri. Approximately 95% of the firm's practice is in the Civil Courts. We represent people who have been seriously injured by others or who have received injuries at their workplace. We also represent the families of people who have been killed as a result of another person's negligence or because of defective products. Legal malpractice is the fastest growing area of our practice. In these cases we represent people who are suing their former lawyers who have made negligent errors in representing their clients thereby causing the clients monetary injury. Our firm was founded in 1973 in Belleville, Illinois. Belleville is the county seat of St. Clair County, just across the Mississippi River from the City of St. Louis, Missouri. We are committed to providing outstanding service to our clients, quality legal services, prompt response in our communications with our clients, and maximum use of technology. We believe that a trial lawyer should be a counselor as well as an advocate so that the client can make informed choices at key decision points in the litigation process. We believe in service to our community and the legal profession. We are leaders in national, state, and local bar associations and are active in community affairs. George Ripplinger has been in the private practice of law since he graduated from the University of Illinois Law School in 1970. He has an AV rating from the Martindale-Hubbell National Legal Directory and has been selected by Illinois lawyers for inclusion in the publication, Leading American Attorneys in the practice area of medical and professional malpractice. Fewer that 6% of American lawyers have been so selected. Ripplinger is a national bar leader. He is currently secretary of the GP Solo and Small Firm Section of the American Bar Association and has served for nine years as one of the Illinois State Bar Association's representatives in the ABA House of Delegates. He is a former secretary of the Illinois State Bar Association and currently serves as vice-chair of the Association's Committee on Professional Responsibility. He is a member of the Board of Advocates of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association. Ripplinger is active in civic affairs having been a Boy Scout leader and is a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army Reserve. Patricia A. Zimmer graduated with honors in 1992 from St. Louis University Law School where she was Managing Editor of the Public Law Review. Prior to law school, Pat had a 10-year career as a medical technologist. Her particular interest is in medical malpractice, serious injury and death cases. Pat is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association Insurance Law Section Council.
