Description of Lakota Sports Organization
LSO offers a wide range of options and vehicles to help the development of youth sports in West Chester/Liberty Township. We are recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization. Consequently, donors and sponsors are provided with maximum tax benefits allow by law. Please contact Darcy Marsh via email at development@lakotasports.org to become involved with this projects. LSO has always been concerned with identifying the major issues, concerns, and challenges facing youth sports leaders and their athletes. In 2006, the board renewed this effort, putting particular emphasis on the need to develop more extensive programs and funding to address the following areas: General health issues (Coaches and players) Motivating the youth player (Coaches and parents) Nutritional updates (Educating the players) Training frameworks (Best practices guidelines and training opportunities) A series of key resources and needs where outlined. The need to more extensively educate and communicate to all members of the organization on the key topics above was deemed to be of importance.
