Description of A Plus Auto Insurance

Alaska.
‘Modern living on the edge of wilderness’
It’s easy to say that we have the best scenery in the world, hands- down. A place where the wildlife enjoys the city as much as you do. The immense mountains, unspoiled wilderness, gleaming glaciers, and breathtaking vistas will always be a part of our adventures. Whether it’s the daily commute from the Mat-Su Valley to Anchorage, casual weekend up to Denali to see Mt. McKinley, or the drive down the Seward highway to Homer to take a halibut charter out across the Kachemak Bay; you always need to be prepared to experience different driving conditions.
Alaska’s powerful weather conditions can be the most challenging. The winter meltdown begins in the month of March. A thick subsurface layer of frozen solid soil exists directly below the hard, wet, compacted snow in the spring. The snow repeats the daily cycle of starting to melt throughout the day and then refreezes in the evening turning it to its original state but smaller. Making the roads difficult to drive on regardless of what vehicle you own. The beginning of spring is generally in late May or early June is Alaska’s warmest season. August is midsummer and autumn begins in early October. Alaska doesn’t give you the full opportunity to experience autumn because it generally lasts up to 3 weeks before the trees are naked, and the blanket of leaves cover the ground. By this time, you have reached the end of October and it is now winter. Negative with windshield temperatures, soft white fluffy snow, ice crystals hanging from your rooftop and road conditions that you see on the show, ‘Ice Road Truckers’. A driver can experience the same if not more of the freezing rain, snow, wind and snow blindness. Alaska’s winter is cold, dark and snowy. Plain and simple.
Wildlife is a tremendous factor for today’s motorists as well. Your 1,600-pound friendly neighborhood moose is also included. About 800 moose are killed by motor vehicles each year in Alaska. The actual number of moose-related collisions is certainly higher, but most people don’t report motor vehicle accidents. As an insurance company, we can provide appropriate quotes for coverages if this accident were to occur.
We recommend that you take the time to review your car insurance to make sure you and your family are sufficiently covered. We can help you choose the right coverages for you, whether you drive a ford f150 or a VW bug, or needing a quote for SR-22, we can help you there too.
