Formal education is conducted in school and university for higher education and is often in stages beginning with kindergarten, primary school, secondary school and then college or university. Both private schools (with tuition fees) and publicly funded state schools are available. Education in technology as well as musical education are important for many people. Vocational education focuses on practical training for a trade such as medicine, architecture, carpentry, engineering or agriculture, and many require an internship or apprenticeship to gain the necessary skills to become qualifies.
