The Neighborhood Legal Services Program (NLSP) has been in existence for over forty years. Our longstanding mission has been to provide vigorous representation for the rights of low income residents in the Nation's Capital. Our steadfast commitment has earned us a well respected reputation in the Equal Justice Community. NLSP is primarily federally funded through the Legal Services Corporation (LSC) and is not a part of either the Federal or District of Columbia government. In order to receive services, applicants must meet LSC eligibility criteria.
