Ellie Family Services - Woodbury

Ellie Family Services’ Woodbury clinic is conveniently located off of Highway 494 and Tamarack Road, about a mile from the intersection of 494 and 94 (across the highway from Costco!). Our Woodbury office is super easy to find, and parking is abundant! We are right next to the Children’s Minnesota Specialty Center and Roger’s behavioral health, and there’s also a couple hotels within a few hundred feet, in case you feel like spending the night close by. We are pretty proud of our light up sign that sits atop the building, and it’s easily seen day or night. It’s even visible from the International Space Station! (not really, but that would be cool, wouldn’t it?).

At Ellie Woodbury, we have some providers who are dang near magical in what they do. Our Woodbury providers are both generalists and specialists- we can see just about anyone and have some key areas of specific expertise… We see both adults, children, couples & families. Ellie Woodbury has several therapists who are highly trained in treating complex trauma, grief and loss. Our therapists use mindfulness approaches, cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavior approaches to treat trauma, along with EMDR. Therapists also are trained to work with gender, and sexual identity, ADHD, divorce, self-harm reduction, chemical dependency.

*** Oh, did I forget to mention that we have an entire second full office space dedicated to children’s mental health?? At Ellie Woodbury, we have a team of specialists who are dedicated to working primarily with children, and incorporate elements of play therapy and other research-based approaches to navigating childhood mental health, life events, family relationships, issues at school and more. In order to be able to provide the most comprehensive support to young children, our Woodbury office is split into two separate full offices, one for adults and one for kids!

Our kids’ office is full of engaging toys, fidgets, tools and activities for engaging children in self-regulation, stress tolerance, calming and communication skills. We also have a licensed M.D. psychiatrist who specializes in children’s mental health! Bottom line, Ellie Woodbury has incredible professionals who’ve dedicated their careers to helping kiddos shine- to uncover their inner strengths and use them to navigate major life experiences and developmental stages.

Beyond the clinic, we also offer Community-Based Services of ARMHS, CTSS & In-Home Therapy to residents of Washington County (Please check out our Community-Based Services page for more information on in-home services).

When we’re not working, we love to hang out in the local scene. In case you’re not familiar with the area, Ellie is close to both the Tamarack Village, if you like to get your shop on. For the outdoor enthusiasts, Woodbury is also home to several beautiful parks and trails!
