Description of Ozark Cooperative Warehouse
Our History: Founded as a local buying club, Ozark Cooperative Warehouse is now celebrating its 30th Anniversary as a cooperatively owned and operated business. We evolved from a small retail co-op with just two products, organic long and short grain brown rice, to a 40,000 square foot distribution center with more than 6,000 products. In 2006 we have widened our members' selection to over 18,000 natural and organic products. We are one of just two cooperatively owned natural food warehouses remaining in the United States. Vision Statement: The Ozark Cooperative Warehouse is financially and operationally strong. We contribute significantly to the quality of our customers' lives, to a healthier environment, and to the establishment of fair and just commercial relationships in our local and global communities. Our members are involved with governing the cooperative and receive important economic benefits from their OCW association. Ozark Cooperative Warehouse is respected and trusted by its customers, its employees, our suppliers and industry. Mission Statement: Our Mission is to improve people's lives and to increase the control they have over them. We do this by operating a sustainable and trustworthy cooperative business that makes natural foods and other healthy and environmentally sound products available in the markets we serve.
