Sulphur Springs Medical-Surgical Clinic was established in July 1964 as Medical-Surgical Clinic, by Claude E. Reynolds, M.D., who recruited Max G. Latham, M.D., to join him in November 1965. In March, 1968, the clinic moved into a new building which still houses the practice. The two doctors were joined through the years by others, and by 1998, there were nine family practice physicians. Additions to the building were completed in 1998, and the name of the practice was changed to Sulphur Springs Family Healthcare Associates. The year 2000 marked the affiliation with Korn Pediatric Clinic and Tom S. Korn, M.D. In the summer of 2001, Francisco Chacon, M.D. joined the group. In 2004 the name changed again, to Sulphur Springs Medical-Surgical Clinic. Many changes have been made through the years, but the family values and forces that keep the practice together and progressive are still strong.
