Description of Illinois State Acupuncture Association
The Illinois State Acupuncture Association (ISAA) is a professional organization of acupuncture practitioners elegible for licensure as acupuncturists in the State of Illinois. Acupuncture Students, Allied Health Practitioners, and Acupuncture Patrons are eligible for membership as supporters of acupuncture.The purposes of the ISAA include:Encourage and foster the form of healing art known as Acupuncture.Promote the acceptance of uniform standards for the unique skills and abilities of professional acupuncturists.Encourage and assist in appropriate research.Promote and encourage public information and education as it pertains to the art and practice of acupuncture.Serve and promote public welfare.For a copy of the Illinois Acupuncture Practice Act, please call the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation at 217-785-0800.
