Description of Calumet Center
The Calumet Center offers a Senior Caregiver Violence Prevention Program that includes intervention and preventive services for caregivers of elderly residents that includes a monthly "Stressbusters' Group." Social workers at the Calumet Center also offer counseling and case management services for seniors who are experiencing acute or chronic mental or emotional dysfunctioning due to neurological deterioration, chemical imbalance, isolation and/or limited mobility as well as loss of significant others. SeniorCare is a program offered at Metropolitan's North Center that assists caregivers in finding resources and services in the community that will support their caregiving role. The program has a range of support services.
