Holistic Medicine Physicians Kristin van Konynenburg, M.D.Dr. van Konynenburg believes that true healing occurs when patients are treated in body, mind and spirit. She has a strong background in traditional family medicine and combines this knowledge with nutrition and lifestyle counseling and complementary practices to provide individualized care for each of her patients.Dr. van Konynenburg hails from California, where she completed medical school at the University of California, Davis in 1995. She completed her residency in family practice in Martinez, California in 1998.Her love of the outdoors led Dr. van Konynenburg to spend three seasons in Antarctica as the physician at a remote scientific research station. She has also lived in Kenya. Dr. van Konynenburg speaks Spanish and teaches wilderness medicine. She is certified by the American Board of Family Practice and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.Frances Hamilton, M.D.Dr. Fran Hamilton is a board-certified Family Physician who has practiced in the Boulder area since 1995. By integrating Western and complementary medicine Dr. Hamilton develops an optimal health care plan for each individual she serves. Before attending medical school, Dr. Hamilton was an educator and high school principal which has inspired her current project of working with teachers to develop an altruistic service curriculum for K-12 students. She has traveled around the world and to India several times to volunteer her medical services and to adopt her daughter, Grace.
