Southwest Institute of Technology is an eligible institution under the Federal Pell Grant, Federal SEOG, (Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant), Federal College Work-Study (CWS), and the Federal Perkins Loan (formally the National Direct Student Loan) programs. Southwest Institute of Technology is also eligible under the FFEL Act (Federal Family Education Loans), which includes the Federal Stafford Loan (Subsidized and Unsubsidized), and the Federal PLUS Loan Programs. Eligibility for the above programs is determined upon submission of a Financial Aid Application. To receive financial aid, a student must maintain satisfactory progress and be in good standing according to institutional standards. A Financial Services Officer is available to provide assistance in any of the above areas. Students are also encouraged to consult with their high school guidance counselors, their employer, appropriate labor unions, and social, fraternal, and religious organizations for information on private funds that may help finance their education.
